Seeking the Door

read 2 min

Do you think a door can change your direction in life?

  • How do we shape our lives according to plans?
  • Would what was planned always come true perfectly?
  • What if life offers better than the plan you designed and the result you aim for every time?
  • Would you keep planning in the same way again?

Sometimes someone who comes into your life, sometimes a subject that comes to mind when left alone is enough to overturn all these plans. The earth rotates fast. The sun sets, but it also rises again. Each rise is a beginning … Each sunset is let’s not say the end, but let’s say preparation for the new beginning…

The stillness of the water, the silent disappearance of the sun, and the wind blowing through the door and dancing with your hair. All in harmony when watching this view away from windows covered with woods.

It may not be easy to reach from darkness to light in certain periods of our life. We need to take a careful look at our goals. On the other hand, no matter how perfectly we plan, life can usually surprises us. Wouldn’t it be too monotonous if it would be without surprises?

The horizontal and vertical lines patterns on the window in this photo with resemble the plans in life, but the gap between them represents those surprises that bring us to light. All the plans you made cannot interfere with it…

It was very enjoyable to capture this view, however, it was a completely different experience to watch.

The plans I had considered, designed, and spent hours, days weeks in my life mostly resulted in the unexpected outcomes. Life always offered different but better results than my expectations.

Normally, my route was to spend a little time here and go a little further south, but this view impressed me so much and as a result, I spent an additional 2 days and changed my whole trip plan and enjoyed it very much in there.

I think it is just like the message the photo wants to tell, surprises…

This place is inside the fish restaurant at an oceanfront town in the south of Portugal. The restaurant is covered only with woods. You can feel yourself in an antique boat with the sounds and amazing views of the ocean waves.

Of course, fresh, delicious and traditional sardinhas assadas were also part of this wonderful experience… 🙂

You may have been alone in the dark, but knowing that the light you need is just behind a door. This is hope… The sea is a long journey and there is no horizon line with an obvious end and no other direction. Drawing your own way in the light of the sun after staying in the dark .. This path is of course directly related to the time we spend in the dark and actually how we spend it. The beginning of the story, perhaps the reason for all our next options. For all that will happen after passing the door…

The doors in our lives may not always be seen as clearly as in this view and our mission is to find that door and reach out the light…
